Ethel May Weiser, age 91, formerly of Wapello, Iowa, died Monday evening, Nov. 9, 1992 at the Bthesda Care Center at Mediapolis.

She was born September 12, 1901 at Burnside, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Matilda Butler. She married Thomas Weiser on April 10, 1924 at Burlington. He died January 30, 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Church of Christ at Burlington.

Mrs. Weiser is survived by one son Robert and Rosemary Weiser of West Burlington; two grandchildren, James Weiser of West Burlington and Jeannine Weiser of Palantine, Illinois; and four sisters, her twin, Edith Halgreen, Ruth Paehl, Helen Evans, and Mary Huneke all of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; and three brothers.

A graveside funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 1992 at the Wapello Cemetery with Rev. Bryon Crousore officiating. Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home provided the care and arrangements for Ethel Weiser.
