Charles W. Dunnahoo, 76, of columbus City, died thursday, Feb. 9, 1995 at University Hospitals in Iowa city.

Born April 8, 1918 in Winfield, he was the son of James and Dora Moore Donnahoo. He married Helen Hall Oct. 23, 1937. She died Oct. 12, 1975. He later married Mildred DeWitt, Oct. 27, 1977.

Mr. Dunnahoo had worked at Central Soya in Muscatine before retiring from there. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Janet Skipton of Mount Pleasant and Shirley Cullan of Cozad, Neb; six sons, Ronald of West Liberty, Charles "Bud" of Columbus Junction, Richard of Mount Pleasant, Larry of Muscatine and Robert and Donnie, both of Des Moines; three stepsons, Jerry DeWitt of Muscatine, Leland DeWitt of Mediapolis and Dennis DeWitt of North English; one brother, James Dunnahoo of Fredericktown, MO; 24 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, an infant daughter, two grandchildren and a stepson.

Visitation was Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction.

The funeral for Mr. Dunnahoo was at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. burial with military rites was in the Columbus City Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
