Mrs. Grace Pearl Chown Called By Death
Mrs. Grace Pearl Chown, died Saturday, June 24,1972 at 5:35 P.M. at the Restopia Nursing Home where she had been living the past year. She was 75 years, 6 months and 5 days of age.
She was born January 19,1897 at Conesville, the daughter of George and Lottie Baker Honts. She married Ernest V. Chown at Conesville, August 31, 1916 and he died April 6, 1969. She moved from Conesville to Columbus Junction in October 1970.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Verne (Effie) Folkers of Cedar Rapids, and two nephews. Bill F. Folkers of Cedar Rapids and Farrell Dean Honts of Long Beach, Calif.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. at the Stacy Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hasel officiating. Mr. Cecil Schlichting was organist. Casket beareres were Ronnie Bennettt, Robert Bennettt, Dennis Bennettt, Tom Hankins, Garland Conaway and William Conaway.
Burial was in the Conesville Cemetery.
