ALVIN R. AMENELL

Alvin R. Amenell, 89, of Mediapolis, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 1994 at the Community Care Center of Mediapolis.

Born Nov. 5, 1904 in Mediapolis, he was the son of August and Ellen Johnson Amenell.

Mr. Amenell was a 1923 graduate of Huron High School and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a construction worker and built grain elevators.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include two brothers, Verner Amenell of Mediapolis, and Paul Amenell of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis.

The funeral for Mr. Amenell will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Jo Maass officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Mediapolis Community Ambulance Service.
