LARRY W. PIPER

Larry Wayne Piper, 56, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday morning, Sept. 17, 1994, in Fredonia.

Born September 19, 1937, in Burlington, he was the son of John Everett and Beulah Drinkall Piper. On July 30, 1983, he married Sarah Hesseltine in Wayland.

Mr. Piper was a local businessman in Columbus Junction.

He was an Army veteran, retiring after 23 years in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the Spring Run United Methodist Church and a member of the Muscatine Moose Lodge.

Survivors included his wife; three daughters, Kimberly Hellige of Ottumwa, Wendy Thompson of Muscatine and Sarah Lynn Piper, at home; two sons, Todd Piper of Columbus Junction and John Wayne Piper, at home; his mother of Columbus Junction; a brother, Wendell Piper of Columbus Junction.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son.

The funeral for Mr. Piper was at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, with burial in the Columbus City Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
