HORACE H. ROBINSON

Horace H. (Robbie) Robinson, 92, Walnut Creek, California, died Monday, May 6, 1996 at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. He was born August 19, 1903.

A native of Mediapolis, Iowa, he married Roxye M. Buster, Grandview, Iowa May 21, 1941. They lived in Burlington until 1942, then moved to Nebraska and Colorado prior to settling in California in 1951.

He graduated from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago.

Before retiring in 1974, his career spanned many fields including farming, railroading, mining, construction, civil service, and retail sales. He was active in Free Masonry for 55 years, and was a member of Hiram Lodge No. 43, F&AM in El Dorado, CA.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Roxye M. Robinson, a Grandview, Iowa native, residing in Walnut Creek, CA; a daughter, M. Jane Marvel of Carson City, NV; a son, John H. Robinson of Danville, California; three grandsons, Marty J. Banta of Carson City, NV, Gregory J. Robinson and Brian J. Robinson of San Luis Obispo, CA; and a great-grandson, Colton Banta.

Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, Memory Gardens, Concord, CA. Visitation was Thursday, 10:00-11:00 at Hull’s Walnut Creek Chapel.
