Helen G. Main, 93, recently of Risen Son Christian Village, Council Bluffs, and previously of Treynor, since 1975, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs.

She was born in Kewanee, Ill., and graduated from Wapello High School in 1926. She married Philip Main who preceded her in death in 1974.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Fremont Methodist Church, Fremont.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara and husband Art. Rath of Treynor, Denelda and husband Donald Provow of Naperville, Ill., and Phyllis Main Freeborn of Montezuma; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was Friday, Sept. 22, 6:30-8 p.m. at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Council Bluffs, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. led by Chaplain Paul Crane, Risen Son Christian Village, Council Bluffs.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Fremont Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Julie Wehner of the Cedar-Fremont United Methodist Church officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
