ALYCE M. KNOTTNERUS

Alyce M. (Marie) Knottnerus, 58, of Gulfport, Ill., died at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 1994, at Community Memorial Hospital in Monmouth, Ill.

Born Nov. 8, 1935, in rural Wapello, she was the daughter of Gordon and Latoska Leona Bush Bennett. On Sept. 12, 1954, she married Donald J. Knottnerus in Wapello.

Mrs. Knottnerus was a salesperson at the Beverage Mart in Gulfport, Ill. She enjoyed playing bingo.

She was a Winfield High School graduate.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Latoska (LuAnn) Knottnerus and Katrina M. Knottnerus, both of Gulfport, Ill.; one son, David G. Knottnerus of Leonore, Ill.; her parents of Winfield; three grandchildren; a brother, Gordon “Bud” Bennett of Clinton; and a sister, June Faulker of Hot Springs, Ark.

She was preceded in death by a son and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

The funeral for Mrs. Knottnerus was at 7 p.m. Sunday at Sederwall Chapel, Biggsville, Ill., conducted by Mark Jagnow. The body was cremated. Ashes will be buried at a later date.

A memorial has been established for the Gulfport Ambulance Service.
