MARGARET E. LONGSHORE

Margaret Ellen Longshore, age 92, a former resident of Wapello and the past fifteen years a resident of Robinson Heights of Burlington, died Sunday afternoon, August 13, 1995 at the Community Care of America at Mediapolis. The daughter of John Daniel and Mary Rogers Innis Merrick, she was born June 1, 1903 at Winfield, Iowa. She married Paul M. Longshore on November 28, 1928 at Wapello. He died March 12, 1970.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Wapello for more than fifty years and a charter member of the Delta Alpha Sunday School Class. She was also a Past Nobel Grand of the Derexa Rebekah Lodge of Wapello.

She was a homemaker and had also been a cook at the Hiway Pantry at Wapello.

Survivors include a daughter Pauline Kenyon of Lake, Wales, Florida; a son Robert Longshore of Burlington; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and one brother.

The funeral services for Margaret Longshore will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 18, 1995 at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, with Rev. Mary N. Pugh officiating. Kathleen Hagele will provide the organ music.

Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery.

Friends may call anytime Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the First Presbyterian Church.
