Vincent P. Cullen, 83, of 2123 Sunnyside, died in Klein Memorial Hospital at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 1984.

Mr. Cullen was retired president and board chairman of First National Bank.

He was born July 5, 1900, at Cylinder, to Thomas and Bridget Donahue Cullen. He married June 27, 1928, at Rock Valley.

Mr. Cullen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Chamber of Commerce, Iowa Bankers Association, YMCA, University of Iowa 'I' Club, Elks Lodge, and Burlington Golf and Rotary Clubs.

Surviving: wife Nina; two daughters, Doris Van Olst, Corvallis, Ore., and Jean Patton, Littleton, Colo., and six grandchildren.

Memorial mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Church, the Rev. Carlos Leveling; Sacred Heart Cemetery. The body will be cremated and the ashes buried at a private service at 4 p.m. Monday. Memorials have been established at Prugh's Chapel for the Hope Haven Building Fund and the Notre Dame Foundation.
