Pauline Cotter, 88, of Winfield, died at 6 a.m. at her home.

She was born March 3, 1898 in Louisa County, Near Winfield, the daughter of Richard and Jennie Blair Cotter.

She was a graduate of Winfield High School and the University of Iowa. She began her teaching career in the Winfield public schools and taught for 29 years at Davenport High School, retiring in 1964.

Miss Cotter was a member of the Winfield Presbyterian Church, the Alpha chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, the Order of the Eastern Star, the National Education Association and the Davenport Teachers association.

She is servived by nieces and nephews.

Friends may cal Friday morning at the McKasson-Honts Funeral Home, Winfield.

Services for Miss Cotter will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Winfield First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. James Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery.
