NEW LONDON - Eugene C. Rogers, 80, died at his home in New London, at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday July 2.

Born Feb. 28, 1900, at Wapello, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rogers. He served in the US Army in World War I.

Mr. Rogers married Mabel Leedham Aug. 6, 1929, at New London; she died Feb. 16, 1970. He was a member of the New London United Presbyterian church.

Surviving: Two sons, Hayward, Greenbrae, Calif., and Andy, Galena, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

The body is at the Elliott Chapel.
