Mrs. Flossie Rebecca Daily, 85, Wapello, died Monday, Nov. 11 at the Burlington Medical Center.

She was born September 17, 1900 in rural Louisa County, the daughter of John and Rosa Rahmiller Adamson. She married Myron Leon Daily, August 4, 1918 at rural Columbus Junction. He died August 31, 1958.

She was a member of the Wapello First Presbyterian Church, Leyda-Dorcas Guild, WWI Widows, and the Long Creek Homemakers Club.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Alice) Carter, Monticello, Mrs. William F. (Helen) Iten, Naples, Fla., Mrs. Marvin (Martha) Walker and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Walker of Wapello, and Myra Mehaffy of Mediapolis, Ia.; 11 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, 2 sisters, Mrs. Paul (Viola) Meyerholz, and Mrs. Hilton (Lela) Pretz of Wapello.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 granddaughter and 1 great-granddaughter.

Visitation was held Wednesday evening at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. A memorial to the First Presbyterian Church has been established.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at the church. The Rev. Richard Smith will officiate and Nancy Smith is organist.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Darrell Walker, Myron Carter, Ken Carter, Dell Pooler, Steve Skalsky, and Mickey Woodruff. Honorary pallbearers were David Mehaffy and Gilbert Pooler.

Lucille Woodruff, Margaret Pontzius, Elaine Gates, Elizabeth Skalsky and Shirley Kay Mehaffy will care for the flowers.

Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.
