Angie M. Kerr, 95, dies

Angie M. Kerr 95, died Thursday, Aug. 26 at the Morning Sun Manor.

She was born Nov. 9, 1886 in Louisa County to Joseph and Sarah Owens Kerr. She never married.

For many years she assisted her family wherever the need arose. Miss Kerr was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morning Sun.

Surviving: several nieces and nephews: Lawrence and Leonard Kerr and Elda Matthews, all of Wapello; Marie Shawger, Dixon, Ill.; and Betty Allen, Spartansburg, N.C.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 31 at Pierce Funeral Home, Morning Sun, Iowa. The Rev. Fred Harris officiated.

Pallbearers were Richard Kerr, Larry Kerr, David Kerr, Keith Kerr, Merle Kerr and Harold McElhinney.

Nancy McElhinney and Nina Hall assisted with the flowers.

Geneva Samuels was organist.

Burial was in Rice Cemetery, Morning Sun, Iowa.
