GRANDVIEW SCENE OF THE WILSON FUNERAL

MRS. JOSEPH WILSON, SR., SUCCUMBED WEDNESDAY

Funeral Services Will Be Held Saturday at Grandview Church - Burial in Grandview Cemetery.

The funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Joseph Wilson, Sr., who passed away at her home 513 East Second street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock are announced to be held at Grandview at one of the Grandview churches Saturday, the body to leave Muscatine Saturday morning. Mrs. Wilson was the mother of eight children and at the time of her death was sixty-seven years of age, being born in Ohio, September 14, 1845.

With her parents, Mrs. Wilson, whose maiden name was Mary Chrisite, moved from Ohio and spent her childhood as a resident of Grandview. She was united in marriage to Joseph S. Wilson, December 9, 1863. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death the following children: John Wilson, of Columbus Junction; Bunyan Wilson, of Fruitland; Joseph Wilson, Jr., Everett T. and Alderman Oliver C. Wilson, of Muscatine; Elmer C. Wilson, of West Liberty; Mrs. William Burkhardt, of Muscatine, and Mrs. Mert Gatton, of Iowa City. She also leaves eight grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Samuel McDonald, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and one brother, T.B. Christie of Grandview.
