Sandra Jean Geiger, age 68, of Wapello, Iowa, died Friday morning, February 2, 2007, at her home. The daughter of Herman August and Cleola Hazel Thomas Lihs, she was born July 9, 1938 at Columbus Junction. She married Gary Geiger on January 20, 1973 at Rock Island, Illinois.

Sandra graduated from Wapello High School. She worked as a grill cook for various restaurants in the area, primarily at the Grandview Corners Café, and also at the Oakville Café and the Apron Strings in Mediapolis.

She was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her grandson, Cole.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; a son, Scott and Heather Geiger of Littleton, Colorado; a grandson, Cole Geiger; two brothers, Max Lihs of Bettendorf and Craig and Marilyn Lihs of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Everett McReynolds, and an infant son, Scott McReynolds.
The funeral ceremony for Sandra Geiger will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello, with Pastor Dan Doolin and Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Burial will follow at the Fulton Cairo Cemetery, rural Morning Sun.

Friends may call from noon to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 6:00 to 8:00.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the Wapello Rescue Unit.
