Joye Lucille Gentzler, 79, of rural Ainsworth formerly of Columbus Junction died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, following a decline in health.

Graveside services were held 3:30 pm Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Columbus City Cemetery in Columbus City with Pastor Cathy Whitlatch officiating. No visitation was scheduled. A general memorial has been established in Joye’s name. The Jones – Eden Funeral Home in Washington is handling the arrangements.

Joye was born September 29, 1928, in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Guy W. and Ada D. (Mowl) Robuck. She attended school in Knoxville. Joye was united in marriage to Lewis “Burdette” Gentzler in 1957 in Kahoka, Missouri. Joye later moved to the Columbus Junction area where she has resided since. She worked at the Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction for a number of years. Joye was a member of the Columbus City United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and IOOF Lodge.

She is survived by one son, Burdette Gentzler of Columbus Junction.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1958; one son, Richard Robuck; and one brother, William Robuck.
