Robert Allen Goldesberry, 86, of Bowie, Texas, formerly of Conesville, Iowa died on April 8, 2007 after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Muscatine on August 8, 1921 to Frank and Daisy Hill Goldesberry.

He married Carmen Hamilton on October 11, 1941 at Kahoka, Missouri. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife in Bowie, Texas; three daughters: Catherine Davis of Muscatine, Iowa, Jeanne Bozarth of Muscatine, Iowa, and Joanne Matthews of Back River, Michigan; four sons: Lee of Racine, Wisconsin, Bob of Conesville, Iowa, Ray of Yreka, California, and Kerry of Evanston, Indiana; and a special grandson, Terry Powers of Meta, Missouri. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Lewis of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters. Burial will be at the National Veterans Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
