Virgil J. Holstlaw, Jr. of Bear Valley, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 7, 2006. He was born in Richland Center on October 9, 1964, the son of Virgil L. and Blanche (Bass) Holstlaw. Following his graduation from River Valley High School, Virgil worked for Hartung Brothers. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Virgil is survived by his father, Virgil L. Holstlaw of San Antonio, Texas; his brothers, Lemoin Holstlaw of Ithaca and Luke Holstlaw of Bear Valley; his aunts, Amy Westaway and her husband, Donald, and Louise MacEachern, all of Conesville, IA; and many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Virgil was preceded in death by his mother on august 8, 1975.

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 13, 2006 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Burial was in the Brown Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Brown Church Restoration Fund, the American Heart association or the charity of their choice in lieu of flowers.
