Charlene L. Kemp, age 72, of the Colonial Manor at Columbus Junction and formerly of Grandview, died Sunday morning, January 22, 2006, at the Washington County Hospital at Washington. The daughter of Everett Leroy and Mary Frances Jackson Kemp, she was born November 18, 1933 at Grandview.

Charlene enjoyed playing cards, watching TV especially game shows, and doing embroidery.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Frances Kemp of Grandview; and five sisters, Vera Harvey and Connie Fougerty, both of Surprise, Arizona, Frances Wilson of Sun City, Arizona, Shirley Bramble of Muscatine, and Debi Estabrook of Marshalltown.
She is preceded in death by her father, Everett Kemp, and two brothers, Leonard and Gary Kemp.

The funeral ceremony for Charlene Kemp will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at the Grandview Community Bible Church at Grandview, with Rev. Darryl Erickson officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery. A Memorial Fund has been established.
