Funeral Rites Mrs. Robert Buckman

Mrs. Robert Buckman of Conesville, died at 11:54 a.m. Sunday, May 28, 1978, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a short illness at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Wanda Maxine McKean was born July 27, 1920 at Conesville, the daughter of Rollo and Anita Maxwell McKean. She married Robert Buckman on January 20, 1941 in Muscatine. She worked for Owens Brush Company, Iowa City. She was a member of Oak Camp No. 6601, Royal Neighbors of America Lodge in Conesville.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Dennis of Wisner, Nebraska, and Fred of Conesville; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Anita) Milder and Mrs. Ray (Christine) Johnson, both of Conesville; seven grandchildren; one brother, Lyle McKean of Conesville; and one sister, Mrs. Almon (Helen) Hillyer of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, and one son.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hasel officiating. Mrs. Jerry Gerot was organist. Casket bearers were Ralph Solomon, Oliver Stewart, John Thornton, Edward Wheeler, James Holmes and Darrell Conaway.

Burial was in the Conesville Cemetery.
