Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Visitation: 4-7 p.m.Monday, Nov. 10, funeral home.

COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa — Patricia Anne O’Donnell, 61, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 07, 2008, unexpectedly at her home.

The Rev. Al Coffin will officiate. Casketbearers will be Robert Gray Jr., Jerome Gray, Bill Bright, Bob O’Donnell, Danny O’Donnell, and Josh Mohror. Honorary casketbearers will be Noel Bright, Nikkolas Gray, James E Bright, Jr., Stephanie Williams, Barb Smith, Susan Duttlinger, Melissa Mohror, Jon O’Donnnell, Kelli Hoback, and Joni Schnitzler. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery. Following the committal service there will be a time of food and fellowship at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Pat’s name. Sympathy notes may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Mrs. O’Donnell was born March 13, 1947, in Iowa City, the daughter of Charles R. and Kathryn Dwinell Morrison Bright and R.F. “Bo” Morrison, Jr. She married Marlin R. O’Donnell Sept. 24, 1966, in Columbus Junction.

She was employed at Sheller Globe, Central Can and most currently Geico of Iowa City. She was a member of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, Silver Leaf Rebekah lodge No. 394 and was a past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Iowa and a member of Iowa City Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant, Etude Club, Junction Entertainers Ltd. and played roles in several musicals.

She was a collector of angels and an avid Hawkeye, Bears and Jeff Gordon fan although she was the biggest fan of her grandchildren supporting them in school and athletic activities.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Marlin “Moose” O’Donnell of rural Columbus Junction; her two children, Kim Carney and husband, Jeff of Roscoe, Ill., and Kenny O’Donnell and wife, Kara of Columbus Junction; six grandchildren; Morghan Carney, Zoie Carney, and Sam Carney, Josie O’Donnell, Austin O’Donnell, and Dylin O’Donnell; her dad R.F. “Bo” Morrison, Jr., Columbus Junction; a sister, Terry K. Higgins and a husband, Kenneth of Fulton, Mo.; three brothers, James “Ed” Bright and wife, Sharon, Columbus Junction, Robert Bright and wife, Kathy of Fredonia, and R. F. “Skip” Morrison III; and a special family friend Brad Lamp of Iowa City and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Oct. 31, 1952; her mother on Nov. 2; a grandson Shane Sept. 3, 1992.
