Robert E. Brandon, 61, of Columbus Junction, died Monday, June 5, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Born Aug. 19, 1927, in Chariton, he was the son of Verne and Nora Phillips Brandon. He married Lucille Stender Jan. 25, 1958 in Muscatine.

He was employed in the shipping department with International Harvester, East Moline Ill., before retiring in 1981 after 34 years. He was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church and the Grandview-Letts Chapter of the Lions Club. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert L. Brandon, Ellsville, Mo.; one daughter, Kathleen Brandon, Davenport; two brothers, Donald Brandon, Davenport, and Charles Brandon, East Moline, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction.

The service for Mr. Brandon was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Burial was at 2 p.m. in Davenport Memorial Park.

A memorial has been established.
