Mrs. Harry Bliven, 58, of 808 W. Lombard Street, Davenport, died Thursday, April 26, 1962 in her home.

The former Leona H. Quinn was born August 30, 1903 in Muscatine, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Metzgar Quinn. She attended the Muscatine schools but early in childhood moved to Davenport where she has since made her home. She was married to Mr. Bliven in Clinton, Iowa, April 30, 1921.

Mrs. Bliven was employed by L.W. Ramsey Co., Davenport seven years.

She was a member of the Pilot Club and had served as governor of District 12. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, of Blackhawk Chapter of National Secretary Association, and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.

She was formerly staff pianist at Radio Station W.O.C.

She is survived by her husband, a former resident of this community and who is a brother of Blaine Bliven of Fedonia and Mrs. Cecil Schlichting of Conesville. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Runge Chapel, Davenport and at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church.

Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
