MILTON, Iowa - Warren Blake, 65, of Milton, formerly of Letts and Muscatine died Saturday, April 6, 2002, of an apparent heart attack.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Letts Cemetery, Letts, with Military Rites.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established.

Mr. Blake was born May 14, 1936, in Muscatine County, the son of Madeleo and Ruth Fowler Blake. He married Delores Whittaker Oct. 25, 1959, in Letts. They later divorced.

He was an U.S. Army veteran.

He worked at Muscatine Power and Water for many years.

He loved to dance to Big Band Music. He always had a story to tell, something to trade or sell you.

Survivors include two daughters, Tracie Miller and husband Marty of Batavia and Jackie Blake of Milton; two stepchildren, Larry Whittaker and wife Linda and Rick Whittaker and wife Rose, all of Muscatine; a stepson-in-law, Jesse Moore of Muscatine, nine grandchildren; four sisters, Jackie Kemp of Letts, Janet Budds and husband Mike of Las Vegas, Nev., Julia Humphreys of Fruitland and JoLynne Fuller and husband Steven of Columbus Junction; a brother, Justin Blake of Letts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepmother, Ileane Blake; a sister, Judith Blake, and a stepdaughter, Sally Moore.
