Andrew Mitchell “Bear” Dale, 20, of Wapello, died Tuesday, March 29, 1994, at a construction site at Winfield.

Born Sept. 25, 1973, in Burlington, he was the son of Jimmie and Kathy Stockton Dale.

Mr. Dale worked for Winfield Contractors.

He attended Wapello High School. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Wapello. He was a certified scuba diver. He had been active in Boy Scouts and belonged to the Order of the Arrow at Camp Eastman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed race cars and pool.

Survivors include his parents of Wapello; one brother, Peter Dale of Schiller Park, Ill.; his paternal grandfather, Mitchell Dale of Sigourney; and his maternal grandparents, J. and Virginia Dale.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, with the Rev. Ed Philgreen officiating.

A memorial fund has been established.
