Tanya Beruman, 13, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, died Thursday, October, 18, 2007, from injuries sustained in a vehicular accident in Columbus Junction.

Funeral services will be held in Chicago, Illinois. A local visitation was held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Tanya's name. Sympathy notes may be left for Tanya's family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Tanya was born July 30, 1994, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Mario Beruman and Maria "Candy" (Chairez) Martinez. Tanya was currently a seventh grade student at the Columbus Community Middle School. She was active in basketball and music, and she loved spending time on the telephone with family and friends.

Tanya will be dearly missed by her parents, Maria "Candy" Martinez of Columbus Junction and her father, Mario Beruman of Zacatecas, Mexico; her brother, Luis Martinez of Columbus Junction; her maternal grandparents, Raymondo Chairez and Maria Graciela (Ortiz) of Mexico; and her paternal grandparents, Enrique Beruman and Maria del (Refugio) Marquez of Mexico.
