Funeral Rites For Mrs. Ida Kate Berry

Mrs. Ida Kate Berry passed away at 10:40 a.m. April 30, 1969 at the Extended Care Center in Iowa City at the age of 98 years, 6 months and 7 days.

She was born October 23, 1870 in Washington county, Tennessee, the daughter of Benjamin and Matilda Brabson Morrow. She married John Berry February 12, 1908 at Iowa City and he preceded her in death March 13, 1969.

Surviving are two children, Bolen Berry and Florence Berry of Columbus Junction and a brother, Claude Morrow of Telforn, Tennessee.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Earl E. Josten. Miss Donna Belle Hughes was organist and Mrs. Kenneth Carrell sang.

Casket bearers were Edward Berry, Howard Berry, Harold Lodge, Clarence Lodge, Irvin Lehman and Richard Lehman.

Burial was in the Downey cemetery.
