Letts native dies in Bettendorf

Miss Margaret E. Barker, 1905-1986, 80, of 3535 Main Street, Davenport, died at the Bettendorf Health Care Center in Bettendorf, Monday, August 25, 1986.

She was born October 17, 1905, at Letts, the daughter of John H. and Francelia Utter Barker. She had been employed as an accountant by Kempson Pipeline Company in Phoenix, Arizona prior to her retirement.

Miss Barker was a member of Beta Signa Phi, Women's Association of Accountants, Plus 60 Club, and the Newcomb Presbyterian Church in Davenport.

She is survived by two sisters Mrs. Leda Lamb and Mrs. Helen Albrecht, both of Davenport, and nieces and nephews.

The body has been donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine for anatomical research.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital Fund.

A memorial service will be held at Newcomb Presbyterian Church at a later date.
