George Bonnichsen Called By Death

George Bonnichsen, a long time resident of Louisa County, passed away at the home of his sister Mrs. David Owens, August 24, 1962 at the age of 87 years and two days. He was the son of Fred and Jane Dowson Bonnichsen and was born August 22, 1875 in Concord township then moved to Brighton, Iowa. After he grew to manhood he returned to Louisa County and farmed for several years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge for more than fifty years. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death. Left to mourn his loss are three brothers: Gustav Bonnichsen of Twin Falls, Idaho, Fred of Wapello and Rudolph Bonnichsen of Columbus Junction and one sister Mrs. David Owens of Columbus Junction.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Stacy Funeral Home and were conducted by the Rev. Caleb Larson.

Music was by Mrs. B.O. Roundy.

Flower attendents were Mrs. N. P. Schafer and Mrs. Forrest Pontzius.

Casket bearers were Roy Stitely, Marvin Kistler, Forrest Pontzius, Raymond Bonnichsen, Royce Bonnichsen and Virgil Bonnichsen.

Burial in Indian Creek Cemetery.
