Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, United Methodist Church, Wilton. Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service at United Methodist Church.

WILTON, Iowa - Florence L. Boorn, 81, Wilton, died on Monday, June 11, 2007, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine.

Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.

The Rev. Tom Zeleny will officiate.

Musical selections will be provided by Kathy Luethye and vocalist Henry Bentley.

Casket bearers will be Troy Bronner, Shane Boorn, Vince Royal, Brad Marolf, Damon Boorn, Gabriel Boorn, Erik Fitzer and Tom Fitzer.

Honoarary casket bearers will be Brad Hall, Debbie Hall, Jodi Goodwin, Mindy Akers, Heidi Boorn, Breona Maurer, Ciji Tyler, Becky Costello, Debbie Golinghorst, Deb Shook, Sheli Bach and Heather Jones.

Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church in her memory.

Florence Thompson Boorn was born on Sept. 17, 1925, to Joseph and Lela (Gauger) Thompson in Moscow.

She worked at Proctor and Gamble in Iowa City, retiring in 1968.

She enjoyed camping and fishing.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Thomas Boorn of Moscow, and Dennis and Sue Boorn of Wilton, four daughters, Judy and her husband Dave Bronner, Wilton, Carol and her husband Pete Hall, Wapello, Joan and her husband Roger Marolf, Wilton, and Connie Fitzer of Wilton; two brothers, George Thompson, Muscatine, and William and his wife Margaret of Grandview; three sisters, Frances and her husband Dale Thumma, Tipton, Bonnie Thompson, Muscatine, and Patsy and her husband Ron Dickey of Muscatine; 20 granchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, JoAnn Jefferson, Betty White, and Mary DeSollar; and two brothers, Kenneth Thompson and Leland Thompson.
