George Clifford Boulton, 96, of Ava, Mo., formerly of Columbus Junction, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, in Springfield, Mo.

Born April 11, 1903, in Columbus Junction, he was the son of George L. and Florence Estella Rickey Boulton. He married Pearl Adamson in 1924 in Columbus City. He married Alta Lakins in 1956. He later married Martha Rhoades on Aug. 25, 1972, in Vera Cruz, Ariz.

Mr. Boulton taught country school for four years and was a farmer.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Harold Boulton of Montrose; two daughters, Letha McCulley of Columbus Junction and Hilda Taylor of Mansfield, Mo.; nine stepchildren; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Velma Cutkomp of Columbus City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, one grandson and one great-great-grandson.

The funeral for Mr. Bouton will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clinkingbeard Fuenral Home in Ava, Mo. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, with the Rev. Larry Brown officiating.

Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is in charge of arrangements.
