Kenneth Dean Bergen, 59, of Springfield, Mo., died Thursday, March 28, 1991

Born May 13, 1931, in Wapello, Louisa County, he was the son of Noah and Emma Evans Bergen. He married Betty Slay May 31, 1960 in Muscatine.

He grew up and attended school at Wapello. He enlisted in the Army during the Korean War and was discharged with a medical discharge.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Kenny Dean Bergen II: two sisters, Virginia McKee and Carolyn Adams, both of Morning Sun; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was Monday in Memorial National Cemetery, Springfield, Mo.
