Mrs. Roy Bergen Called By Death

Mrs. Roy (Carrie) Bergen of Ainsworth, died Tuesday, October 3, 1978, at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington County Hospital. She was 76 years, 2 months and 1 day of age.

She was born August 2, 1902 in Louisa County the daughter of John and Amanda Schafer Boulton. She married Roy Bergen on January 17, 1923, in Muscatine. She lived in Ainsworth-Washington area all her life.

Mrs. Bergen was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Columbus City.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Cleo Bergen of Cedartown, Georgia; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Joe Boulton of Letts; and three sisters, Mrs. William (Emma) Walsinger of Winfield, Mrs. Ralph (Hazel) Crawford of Brighton and Mrs. Harry (Stella) Hall of Muscatine.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with burial in the Columbus City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
