Sheldon Bebb, 77, dies

Sheldon L. Bebb, 77, died Thursday, January 24, 1985, at the Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home in Coon Rapids, Iowa.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine. Rev. Daniel Schoepf officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Muscatine.

A son of John and Della M. Swank Bebb, he was born February 13, 1907. in Conesville. He was a life resident of the Conesville and Muscatine areas.

He had resided with his cousins, Lee and Ruth Bebb, prior to going to the nursing home.

He married Carmelita M. Settlemire March 15, 1935, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death in 1965.

Mr. Bebb was a member of the Cavalry Baptist Church and had worked as a baker at the Kautz and Paetz Bakeries until his retirement.

His only immediate survivor is a sister-in-law, Sonia Bebb of Colorado Springs.
