Austin D. Bebb Called By Death Monday, May 10

Austin D. Bebb, a resident of Brighton, died Monday, May 10, 1971 at 12:15 p.m. at the Washington Community Hospital at the age of 71 years and 19 days.

He was born April 21, 1900 in Louisa County, rural Conesville, the son of Robert D. Bebb and Agnes McKee Bebb.

He married Gertrude Hill, March 11, 1925, at Muscatine, and she died August 18, 1963.

Mr. Bebb lived and farmed in Conesville until 1952 when he moved to Brighton. He was a retired farmer and livestock buyer. He belonged to the Odd Fellow Lodge.

Survivors include three brothers, Forest Bebb, Wapello, Randall Bebb, Cedar Falls, Aldon Bebb, Pittsburg, Kan., and one sister, Mrs. Eben (Marie) Williams, Conesville.

The funeral was held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. R. W. Copeland, Washington, officiating.

Miss Donna Belle Hughes was organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Lola Whisler, Mrs. Ross Hodson, Mrs. Clifford Leeper. Casket bearers were Earl Murphy, John Coffin, Leland Horton, Norman Edwards, Ransom Forbes and Clifford Leeper.

Burial was in the Conesville Cemetery.
