Helen Frances Baxter, 74, of Pelican Lake, Wis., died Monday, July 11, 1994.

Born Dec. 28, 1919, at Burlington, she was the daughter of James and Bertha Warth Huffman. On July 29, 1939, she married Leon W. Baxter of Morning Sun. He died Jan. 31, 1982.

They had farmed in the Morning Sun area until 1954. They then moved to Pelican Lake, Wis., where they owned and operated Baxter's Resort.

Survivors include one sister, Betty Hetrick of Carmln, IL; one brother, Delmer Huffman of Stronghurst, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one sister and one brother.

The funeral for Mrs. Baxter was Wednesday, July 13, at the Carlson Funeral Home in Rhinelander, Wis., with the Rev. Mark Rhinelander, Wis., with the Rev. Mark Pirazzini officiating. Burial was in Enterprise Cemetery.
