WALTER KILPATRICK DIES IN OHIO
Formerly a Morning Sun Resident

Walter Kilpatrick, 71, a resident of Deleward, Ohio, died at that place on February 22 following an illnes of several weeks. Mr. Kilpatrick, a brother of Miss Mary Kilpatrick of this place, was a native of Des Moines County and was a graduate of the Morning Sun High School and Parsons College. He was born near here on November 27, 1874, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kilpatrick. He was married to Elizabeth Smith, who with one son, one daughter, and three grand daughters survive.

Mr. Kilpatrick spent the greater part of his life as a teacher of the deaf, first in the state school in Fairbault, Minnesota, and later as superintendent of the state school at Hartford, Connecticut. More recently he was superintendent of the state school at Vancover, Washington. Mr. Kilpatrick was a veteran of the Spanish American War.
