Funeral services for 83-year old Phyllis Barbee of Fredonia were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Burial was at the Columbus City Cemetery.

Visitation was Saturday at the funeral home, where a memorial has been established.

Mrs. Barbee died Friday, Nov. 16, 1990 at Luteran Homes in Muscatine where she had been a resident.

The former Phyllis Greenlad was born on Aug. 27, 1907 in Eagle, Colo. to Mr. and Mrs. James Greenland. She married Elmer S. Barbee on Sept. 1, 1926 in Eldon, Iowa. Mr. Barbee preceded her in death in 1978.

She was of the Baptist faith, and former member of the Emma Beckman Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Columbus Junction.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Ludwick of Muscatine; granddaughters, Mrs. Gary (Robin Lynn) Collins of Davenport, Jerri Jo Ludwick of Muscatine, Mrs. Scott (Joan Ann) Hunt of Wapello; and her great-granddaughters, Rachel and Kelli Collins, and Kara and Eden Hunt.
