I.V. FARRIER Called By Death

I.V. FARRIER, 75, retired farmer, died June 17, 1970, in the Washington County Hospital. He had lived many years in rural Henry County and had also lived in Moline, Ill., several years before retiring in Brighton.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Brighton Friday, June 19, 1970, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Willey officiating. Burial was in the Elm Grove Cemetery at Washington. Pallbearers, were nephews, Lloyd FARRIER, Marvin FARRIER, Delbert LOWE, Duane LOWE all of Brighton; Harvey FARRIER, Moline, Ill.; Joe Dean RICH, Phoenix, Arizona.

Mr. FARRIER was born August 19, 1894, in Washington, a son of Thomas and Clarice MAITLAND-FARRIER. He was married December 1, 1915, to Emily ALTER in the home of her parents near Mt. Pleasant.

He attended the Richwood Methodist Chapel and was formerly a member of the Moline Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife and three sons and two daughters; Mrs. Joseph (Viola) BAKER of Moline, Dell FARRIER of Columbus Junction, Mrs. John (Dessie) MAGNUSON of Hayward, Wis., Clifford FARRIER of Moline and Ernest FARRIER of Cleveland, O.; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; also two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Alvin (Minnie) HOLE of Stone Lake, Wis., Mrs. Joe (Alta) RICH of Phoenix, Ariz., Andy FARRIER of Brighton and Illoah FARRIER of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
