John STORM is Fatally Injured

John STORM son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. STORM of Ely, Iowa was fatally injured Sunday, March 4, 1962 about 5:15 p.m. when he become entangled in a feed auger. Authorities said the boy was helping move silage from a barn to a feed bunker. His clothing became entangled in the auger when he bent over to look at it.

He was born April 7, 1950 at Iowa City. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church at Ely and attended Prairie junior high school.

He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Christine and Sola STORM and a brother, George STORM all at home and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Verne R. THOMAS of Columbus Junction.

Services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Turner chapel at Cedar Rapids, conducted by Rev. C. H. Berhenke of Ely. Burial in the Rogers Grove cemetery at Ely.

Mrs. STORM was the former Hazel THOMAS of the Cairo community.
