Mrs. Wanda SYPHRIT Funeral Rites

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wapello Methodist church for Wanda HOUSMAN-SYPHRIT 32 who died suddenly Wednesday, January 3, 1962 at her home south of Wapello near Newport.

Cause of her death was listed as a brain hemmorhage. She died at about 5 p.m. She has lived at home south of Wapello the past 15 years.

The Rev. Harlan Gant of Wapello Methodist Church officiated at the services Friday. Burial was at Wapello Cemetery.

Mrs. SYPHRIT is survived by her husband and five children. The children are Larry 14; William 13; Michael 11; Steven 3; and Nancy 7. She is also survived by her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Glen HOUSMAN of Yarmouth.

Surviving brothers include Floyd HOUSMAN, Wapello; Howard HOUSMAN, Sperry; Leland HOUSMAN, Yarmouth; Dale HOUSMAN, Mediapolis; and twin brother Wendell of Yarmouth.

Sisters surviving are Vivian FRY, Wapello; Pauline LEE, Morning Sun; Dorothy PONTZIUS, Milan, Illinois; and Lois ROBBINS of Sperry. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Mrs. SYPHRIT and her husband Leonard were married May 30, 1947 at Columbus Junction. Her parents were Glen and Pearl HOUSMAN. Her mother is not living. Mrs. SYPHRIT was born at Yarmouth on May 21, 1929.
