SCHNEIDER services held

Mrs. Juanita M. SCHNEIDER, 86, Route 1, Wapello, died Sunday night, April 3, 1988, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Rev. George Tetter officiated. Burial was at the Wapello Cemetery.

Mrs. SCHNEIDER was born July 20, 1901, in Des Moines County, Iowa, a daughter of Emery and Mael WRIGHT-CARTER. She was united in marriage on September 14, 1929, to Kenneth SCHNEIDER at Wapello. Her church membership was with the United Methodist Church. the couple had farmed their entire adult life near Wapello. She earned her teaching certificate from Iowa Wesleyan College and taught country schools in Des Moines and Louisa counties. Later she was a substitute teacher in Wapello Community School and also was a school bus driver.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; a son, Merlin, of Hedrick; two daughters, Mrs. Humes (Marlene) Moore of Burlington; and Mrs. Harold (Marilyn) Rees of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
