Howard Schneider dies

Howard E. SCHNEIDER, 56, rural Wapello, died Friday, March 25, 1988, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 28, 1988, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darryl Erickson officiating. Burial was in the Wapello Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

He was born March 14, 1932, the son of Raymond and Amy KRIENER-SCHNEIDER.

He was married to Eleanor KONGABLE, November 21, 1951, at Winfield. Mr. SCHNEIDER was a lifelong farmer in Louisa County. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, the National Rifle Association, and had been a longtime member of the former Louisa Center Church.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Daryl, Duane, David and Dale, all of Wapello, and Dean of Burlington; six grandchildren; and a sister, Helda Cavins, Peoria, Illinois.
