Addie LUPTON Died At Shelbina, Missouri

Addie GALLUP-LUPTON died June 30* in her home at Shelbina, Missouri at the age of 96 years. She was the daughter of Charles and Caroline GALLUP who lived for many years in or near Columbus Junction, Iowa.

In the year 1886, she graduated from the Columbus Junction High School, a member of its first graduating class. Others in the class were Mary G. Colton, Clara E. Grubb, Cora B. Hudler and Nettie E. Wilcox.

On January 20, 1892 she was married to James Samuel LUPTON who died December 29, 1937. They had only one daughter, Elsie Eve, who died in January 1919 leaving two small children. From that time on the LUPTONS made ther home with their son-in-law Thomas Wood, who died March 2,1963. She was a devoted mother for the grandchildren who survive. They are Mrs. Maurice Greenwell and James Milton Wood both of Shelbina, Missouri. She had one great-granddaughter, two great-grandsons and one great-great-grandson. One niece Rema Van Auken Harris of Woodland Hills, California, the daughter of the late Olevia and Joe Van Auken formerly of Columbus Junction also survives.

Mrs. LUPTON was a member of Camp No. 537 of the Royal Neighbors of America at Columbus Junction for over 60 Years.
