Former area resident dies in California

Amy B. LOE, 92, of Richmond, California died Monday, January 11 1982, in Richmond. She was a former resident of the Columbus Junction area.

Funeral services were held at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral home on Saturday, January 16, with Rev. Denley Ganfield officiating. Burial Was in the Letts Cemetery.

She was born in Louisa County on April 5, 1889, to Horace and Minnie JOHNSON-BROWN.

Her first marriage to Davis E. BRISCOE took place September 20, 1909, at Quincy, Illinois. He died September 9, 1919. She later married Thomas LOE in Letts and he died in 1946.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Oneta Howard of Richmond, California, Mrs. Dorothy Florance of Hayward, California, and Mrs. Ruby (Golda) Abraham of McKees Port, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Pearle Sheesley of Albia; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, five brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.
