Mrs. Fred Yoder of Letts died at 3:00 a.m. April 19, 1970 at the Extended Care Unit, Iowa City of complications following an extended illness, Mrs. Yoder was 66 years, 10 months and 3 days of age.

She was born June 14, 1903, at Illinois City, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Anna Fuhr Johnson. She was a long time resident of the Letts community.

She was united in marriage to Fred Yoder, October 1, 1924, at Muscatine. She attended the First Baptist Church in Muscatine and was a member of the Lady Eagles.

She is survived by one daughter Mrs. James Podaril of Ainsworth; two grandchildren; five brothers, Marion Johnson of Route 5, Muscatine; Harry and James Johnson of Letts; Buril Johnson of Grandview; and Ransom Johnson of Columbus Junction; and two sisters, Mrs. Edith Weber of Route 5, Muscatine, and Mrs. Kenneth Fry of Grandview.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine conducted by Rev. Forrest Sherwood. Mrs. Forrets Sherwood was vocalist accompanied by Mrs. Floyd Scott. Casket bearers were Joe Ratel, Wells Gonse, John Dusenberry, Al Evans, William Rada and Alvin Wehr.

Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery at Muscatine.
