Mary Elizabeth Yakle, age 43, of rural Winfield, Iowa, died Tuesday evening, September 26, 2006, at the Great River Medical Center at West Burlington, Iowa. The daughter of Curt and Elizabeth A. Ahrenhold Eisenmayer, she was born March 30, 1963 at Monmouth, Illinois. She married Steve P. Yakle on July 30, 1983 at Stronghurst, Illinois.

Mary graduated from Southern High School at Stronghurst, Illinois with the class of 1981. She attended Southeastern Community College. Mary worked as a nurse aide at various care facilities and had worked at IAAP, and was a bartender and had worked as a clerk at the liquor store.

She enjoyed her cats and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; her father, Curt Eisenmayer of Stronghurst, Illinois; a son, Christopher Yakle of Muscatine; a daughter, Allison Yakle at home; a brother, Tom Eisenmayer of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Kathy Kimble of St. Louis, Missouri and Peggy Olsen of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth 'Betty'.

The funeral ceremony for Mary Yakle will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 2, 2006, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello, with Pastor Dan Doolin officiating. Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery.

The family will meet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of Spinal Research.
