Mr. Van Thorndyke died at his home in Muscatine last Wednesday afternoon after an illness of several days with pneumonia. He moved to that city from Wapello about three years ago. He leaves a wife and four little children to mourn. The remains will be brought to this city today for internment in the Wapello cemetery.
