Genevieve Irene McGrew, age 95, of Muscatine and a resident at the Bickford Cottage for some of the last couple of years, died Monday morning, May 8, 2006, at the Unity Hospital at Muscatine. The daughter of John and Ella Dodder McGrew, she was born on October 15, 1910 at Grandview.

Genevieve graduated from Grandview High School. She was a self-employed beautician in Muscatine and worked out of the Medical Arts Building for many years. She was a member of the Mulford Evangelical Free Church of Muscatine. She enjoyed sewing and traveling.

Genevieve is survived by a nephew, John McGrew of Lisbon, North Dakota and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dewey and Max.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the Grandview Cemetery.

The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello is providing the care and arrangements for Genevieve McGrew.
